Both generators are quiet, to be frank, but still, it is hard to beat Honda. After testing both generators several times with and without eco-mode, the following are the results:
- Honda EU2200i generates 53 to 53dB from 23 feet away.
- Westinghouse iGen2200 generates 58dB from 20 feet away.
It is clear that EU2200 has a slight edge over iGen2200 in the noise department. I have used both models and honestly, it is not that big much of a difference, but just for a comparison’s sake:

Despite having a bigger fuel tank, the iGen2200 has a fantastic fuel-efficiency to runtime ratio. Running more than 12 hours is no joke. I have to give this round to Westinghouse.
